Security options. Protect personal information
Password security software - Handy Password protects your data by the following methods:
- When you use Handy Password for the first time, you must create a new Master Password which will provide an exclusive access for you. To change the Master Password from the Main Window select "Service" and choose "Settings".
Attention: If you forget this password, then nobody (not even us) will be able to open the protected Cards. Please be careful not to forget your password. If you have forgotten your Master Password, you can create a new Card Database. - To protect your personal information in a reliable way a 128-bit encryption algorithm is applied. It will take hackers a great deal of time to decrypt the data if your Card File is in their possession.
- Use Timer for additional protection. If this option is on, after the defined time period the data will be locked. To unlock it the user will have to re-enter the Master Password. You can only use the timer when you have the Master Password enabled. If you are using the Master Password, you may not necessarily use the timer.
- Automatic form filling makes filling in process more secure as you do not have to input passwords and other private information manually. Therefore, neither other people nor special pressed keys tracking viruses can steal this information.
You can backup your data to removable storage devises like CD, DVD, USB drive. This gives you additional protection from sudden data loss. To learn more go to Save Card File...
